I am so excited to announce that I have reached 100 sales (okay, 105) on Etsy! To celebrate, I have created a scavenger hunt- one step only. If you can find the photo of me placed in one of my Etsy listings, you can be entered to win a $25 Dana Saylor Designs gift certificate!!!! All you have to do is look through my Etsy shop listings, find the photo of me, and while you’re on that listing, hit the “Contact” link (to the right, next to my shop name- you’ll see “Shop”, “Profile” and “Contact”.) Send me a Convo- conversation, in Etsy speak, and let me know; you’ll be entered in the drawing! Don’t forget to register on Etsy, and list DanaSaylorDesigns as your referrer, then you can add your favorite jewelry to your “hearts” to come back to later.

If you’re not familiar with Etsy yet, it’s the handmade craft website where I sell my jewelry online. I am just one of thousands of sellers with handmade items within this beautifully designed online community, at http://danasaylordesigns.etsy.com. It’s great place to shop for all your gift-giving and craft supply needs- there are also sellers of vintage items! Beautiful items, really nice people, and lots of ways to search, including “Shop Local”. Please read my other blog posts, and leave me your comments.

Thanks as always for your business, and for buying handmade! Have a great fall.

I admit it: I’m in love.  I’ve been telling everyone about it, and it’s finally time to make it official.  Etsy & I are getting serious!!!  Who’s Etsy, you ask?  Only the most innovative and wonderful handmade craft website on the planet!  I have been slowly building up my Etsy.com shop and have decided to sell online exclusively there.  My website will remain, but it will serve as a gallery and information source.  Etsy makes it quick & easy for me to list new items, so that means more NEW stuff, every single week!  Sometimes, every single DAY!  So if you want to check it out, first go to my shop at http://danasaylordesigns.com

My Main Shop Page on Etsy

Etsy has great tools, like the “Heart” feature.  Once you’ve registered (as a buyer or seller), you can “Heart” any other seller, which is like adding them to your favorites.  You can view the people you *heart* and the people that *heart* you, and it shows up like this:
The Etsy heart-o-matic

If you click on the “Etsy” box at the top left, it will take you to the main page of the whole site:
Welcome to my world!

From there, you can browse the wonderfulness being generated by all the other fantastic Etsy sellers.  There are a number of different tools you can use to find what you’re looking for, including:
Find local artisans in your town or region!

There are many other ways to use Etsy; simply put, it’s a treasure trove.  So check it out and “Convo” me once you’re registered- feel free to ask me any questions you like about my shop there, or how to navigate Etsy.com.  Enjoy the addiction!

Greetings, friends. I have been back on Etsy.com, the place to buy and sell all things handmade. Last July, I posted about 15 pieces of my jewelry on their site (each vendor has a little “store”) and tried to sell, but nothing moved. I have decided, after much research and obsession, to try again. I think I need to be more persistent, and utilize all the marketing and networking tools that Etsy offers its vendors. I posted about 35 items in my store there the other day, and bought a space in the Wedding Showcase for tomorrow, Saturday February 9th. Check it out at:http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5098029Etsy has an amazing community of thousands of artisans and crafters who are talented and passionate. Check out the “hand-picked items” on the main page, as well as the scrolling thumbnails at the bottom, showing just-listed items.I love to see creativity at work! Support handmade! Thanks….
